With this project we learned how to
make something look real with paint. You had to know what would come off the
paper and want would go on the paper. You had to look for animals that wouldn’t
have hair or something hard to show texture because it would be hard to show. I
went with a sea turtle because it looked like it would be east to draw and
something that would look good as a finished product. Every part of the project
took time and you had to put more detail into it. As I started to draw the
turtle I saw that it wouldn’t be I easy as I thought it would be because of the
shell it was hard to get the shell right and when cutting it, it was hard to
tell what would be coming off the paper until you started to cut stuff out. When
you put the paint on you had to make sure there wasn’t too much or so little. Once
I got done with the whole thing I was happy with what I needed up with.

Frog Tongue
Today we worked with a mouth with the tongue
sticking out and then we made a frog look like it was part of the tounge. We
had to take the frog that was green and make it look it was always a part of
the tongue. We had to clone a part of the tongue so that we could put it on the
frog to cover up the green and also so that it looked apart of the tongue. With
every step you had to take your time because it was hard to get every step
right. If you did on wrong thing you wouldn’t know what to do next.

Pancake in Photoshop
Today we used Photoshop to make pancakes with a mouth. We
learned how to make a picture look bigger so we could put a picture in the
jaws. We learned how to take part of the phone out and to change the color of
the picture to make it look part of the picture we already had. This was
helpful to use when we want to put to pictures together that you wouldn't think
to put together.

stencil project
For the last week in art we have been working on a
stencil project. We had to find a picture and turn it into a stencil. We then
made big stencils out of the picture. When we cut them out we then had to spray
paint them in different colors to card board. The problem I had was I wasn’t
looking at everything that went into it. When I got to the last color I saw
that the color was going to cover everything that I had already done so I had
to start over. Once I got everything done then I had a good stencil project and
you could see the image that you had on the paper. I learned that you need to
take your time and look at what you are doing before you do it. You have to
understand that you I will get it done but you have to take time. This was a
good project to do because it was the first time that we did something other than
just draw.
